Thank Heavens for Typewriter; Understanding "dogma"

 

The "Cursive Argument" holds validity yet most teachers do not understand the concept.   If they did they would have argued most definitely that left handed students write from right to left resulting in a mirror image of drawing the opposite way, left to right.  Teaching people masterful ways to encode words on to surface is best done with ergonomic symmetry for both hands; helping the spine to stay aligned.  !!"Whoo Hoo Typewriter"!! ...and yes students should learn the REASON WHY they are practicing to type "correctly"; for spinal health.

Fine Motor skill are worthwhile and necessary. We can teach people fine motor skills for a lifetime of study and engagement and help to balance, learn, and reflect upon how students move.  It is truly most beneficial to have students practice both hands and the four directionals for regular eye hand coordination and design practice; the theme, medium, size and method are almost infinite. 

Don't panic, no need to stress people to the point of stress when they demonstrate huge differences in ability and symmetry; simply tell them directly how to balance and why one would want to balance continuously throughout their education.

Practice makes perfect; I am "right" hand trained and so it makes sense that the right hand is more accurate to proportion and shape.  Learning the opposite, or unpracticed hand, is complicated but doable... however, the cursive is mirrored image...  the picture above is a short sketch to study the structure of Maple leaf and now I wish to draw them whimsically :)
