  Us 52 somethings try to explain to the coders how code from away back works.  To study the "simple" Lion costume of China by way of... who really knows.... Indonesia??  is to witness how the vestiges of culture were and are codes to Nature.  This relic, protected and sheltered by the Leung Family displays points to the mammal skull, and the function of theater, education and physical education.  The "view holes" just next to the nostril, the spacing for whiskers, the spirals of the eyelids, the folds of the eyelashes and the cells of skin as they organize and sort themselves around the skull; these are throwbacks to anatomy known well by the people living in tune, in breath with mammal and the abstractions of the artists and athletes to uphold and preserve ceremony, ritual and dance; the Lion Dance.

 First impulse is either a mistake or a delight; there is no pressure as one knows this is "just riffing" simply figuring... it easily goes into the recycle bin.  After one has thought about "framing", detail and figured the image, one become self conscious of the implications and suggestions although one is obviously learning.  It is easy to chide oneself over inabilities or obvious mistakes upon review and this is why having faith in the process, letting go and accepting defeats, drives a motivation to learn or discourages one completely.  Thank heavens there is always another realm of mediums, styles, techniques, and opportunities.  When I completely fail, I know it may be time to focus on something else for a while.  Here, I have yet to fail, and so move diligently towards completion to see through with my goals and aspirations; a wonderfully beautiful process.   The "Cursive Argument" holds validity yet most teachers do not understand the concept.   If they did they would have argued most definitely that left handed students write from right to left resulting in a mirror image of drawing the opposite way, left to right.  Teaching people masterful ways to encode words on to surface is best done with ergonomic symmetry for both hands; helping the spine to stay aligned.  !!"Whoo Hoo Typewriter"!! ...and yes students should learn the REASON WHY they are practicing to type "correctly"; for spinal health. Fine Motor skill are worthwhile and necessary. We can teach people fine motor skills for a lifetime of study and engagement and help to balance, learn, and reflect upon how students move.  It is truly most beneficial to have students practice both hands and the four directionals for regular eye hand coordination and design practice; the theme, medium, size and method are almost infinite.  Don't panic, no need to ...

One "draws" as a show–to delight intrigue and share; one draws to demonstrate an idea and/or to actually think.  The whys and hows of posture, clothes and armor will fascinate to no end; the wonders of Nature, myriad.
